Behind every great product is a team of dedicated people and today we’re introducing one of them: Boryslav Linchevskyi, a full-stack developer whose journey into tech has been shaped by curiosity, persistence and his deep passion for learning.
Boryslav’s interest in technology began at a very early age. At just three years old, when his parents bought their first laptop, Boryslav was already exploring it: playing games and experimenting with simple tools like Paint. This curiosity quickly grew into a deeper fascination with how things work. As a child, Boryslav enjoyed taking things apart and fixing them just to understand their inner mechanics. By the age of eight, it was already clear that any future career needed to involve the computer, creativity, problem-solving and hands-on exploration.
At fourteen, after discussing future options, Boryslav made a clear decision to pursue a degree in computer science. Before fully committing, there was a period of exploration in his studies, including graphic design and system-related fields, but software development quickly proved to be the perfect fit for him.
Academic excellence and exploring teaching
Boryslav went on to study Computer Science in Odessa and graduated with honors, showing both his dedication and strong technical ability. This achievement quickly opened professional doors, including receiving a job offer from within the university department.
Alongside studying and early work experience, Boryslav discovered a passion for teaching. Working as a lecturer, Boryslav introduced programming concepts to students aged thirteen to sixteen and later also taught older students. This experience not only strengthened his technical skills and also developed the ability to explain complex ideas clearly and effectively, it evoked his passion for constantly learning.
From game development dreams to full-stack reality
Like many developers, Boryslav once dreamed of becoming a game developer. However, the job market at the time was largely focused on casino-related development, which did not align with his personal interests. This led to a shift toward broader software development opportunities.
Boryslav started with a strong focus on backend development, which remains a preferred area today. Over time, the role expanded into full-stack development, with increasing involvement in frontend technologies.
A passion for continuous learning
One of the defining traits of Boryslav’s career is a deep commitment to continuous learning. After graduating, there was a clear realization that education does not stop with a university degree. Since then, Boryslav has consistently invested in personal development through courses and self-study.
There is already solid knowledge in technologies like Angular and C#, while new areas such as React and DevOps are actively being explored. What stands out most is the mindset: the true enjoyment of being a developer comes from constantly learning something new and improving every day.

When asked what makes Chainbalance special, Boryslav answers with one simple word: people.
Having experienced different work environments, the supportive and collaborative culture at Chainbalance came as a genuine surprise. The company stands out for its positive atmosphere, where colleagues help each other, share knowledge and provide guidance without expecting anyone to overwork.
Even in a remote setup, there is a strong sense of connection, supported by regular communication within the team. Boryslav especially values the approachable leadership and the feeling of being truly part of the company, rather than just another employee. This sense of belonging naturally motivates stronger engagement and commitment.
Life beyond code
Outside of work, Boryslav enjoys a variety of activities that bring balance and creativity. Music plays an important role, especially playing the guitar and listening to rock, metal, rock & roll and funk. A favorite band is Powerwolf, known for its powerful and energetic sound.
In addition to music, Boryslav enjoys watching movies and cartoons, spending time with family, and going out to places like billiard clubs. Basketball has also been a regular activity until recently. Originally from Odessa, there is also a personal aspiration to live close to the sea.
