Mauricio Warchaftig’s journey into fashion wasn’t straight out of a textbook, it’s a story of resilience, creativity, and a deep-rooted love for the industry. Today, as Chief Commercial Officer at Chainbalance, he channels decades of experience, street-smart leadership, and personal passion into helping apparel brands transform the way they manage merchandise.
Mauricio’s fashion roots run deep, influenced by a trend-loving mother and a stepfather who worked at H&M, his early exposure to the world of style started in his hometown’s local department store. But his first dream was something entirely different: becoming a professional soldier. A sports injury changed that plan and opened the door to fashion.
From managing floors at Galeria, Tom Tailor and PVH, to developing tech-first fashion solutions at his own startups like Phizzard and Betafashion, Mauricio experienced the industry from all angles. He worked 8h in retail and studied economics by night, building a well-rounded expertise that now powers his leadership at Chainbalance.
His CCO journey began during COVID, a tough time to grow a team and a client base, but Mauricio helped secure five major new clients amid a volatile market. His ability to connect fashion, data, and SaaS strategy has been a driving force behind Chainbalance’s commercial growth across Europe.
What sets Mauricio apart is his deep operational understanding of fashion retail combined with his future-focused mindset. He knows how stores work, where inefficiencies hide and how data can unlock smarter stock decisions for brands.
